Synopsis:
High-schooler Nishino Aoi is a history nut who's in the archery class at his school. Due to his skill in archery, he sometimes thinks that he's more suited to the Sengoku period of Japan(c. 1476-c.1603). If he lived then, he imagines he might even have a girl like his clubmate Seno-san as his wife. As it is, Seno-san is his friend and the girlfriend of his childhood friend Kouta.
When a mysterious fog covers the school, Aoi gets his chance to experience the Sengoku period first hand. The entire school is transported to a time period that Aoi pinpoints as somewhere between 1576-1582, near to Azuchi Castle. However, things are not as bright as he might have imagined. Armed men accompanying the historical figure Hachisuka Koroku attack the school, brutally murdering teachers and students. Will Aoi and his friends be able to survive this deadly era?
Historical Background:
The Sengoku period of Japanese History: is one of social upheaval, political intrigue, and near-constant military conflict.
Azuchi-jō-zu (Azuchi Castle: a drawing of the castle): Built by Oda Nobunaga around 1576-1579 on the shores of Lake Biwa in Ōmi Province. It was said that it was the first wooden high-rise building, standing about 46 meters high. However, it was destroyed in just three years and has been called "The Castle of Vision". Nobunaga intentionally built it overlook Kyoto from a safe distance. The Azuchi Castle provided Nobunaga with a strategical advantage in managing communication and transportation between his greatest foes - Uesugi Clan to the North, the Takeda clan in the East, and the Mōri Clan to the West. Azuchi Castle perished after Nobunaga's death in 1582.
Hachisuka Koroku:(Also Hachisuka Masakatsu 1526-1586) was a daimyo (feudal lord) and retainer of Toyotomi Hideyoshi(regarded as Japan's second "great unifier", succeeded Oda Nobunaga, and brought the end of the Sengoku Period) during the Azuchi-Momoyama period of Japan (1568-1600, final phase in the Sengoku period in Japan).
Toyotomi Hideyoshi joined the Oda clan in 1558. Based on the the manga this was Hideyoshi prior to the siege of Takamatsu Castle, vital to the Mōri Clan.
Review: (***Possible Spoilers***)
Gunjou Senki is an interesting historical time slip manga. It is hard to give it a completed review as there are only 16 Chapters currently translated. It does have slight horror and light gore aspects as most survival manga's have.I personally enjoy time slip manga especially if they go back in Japanese History so I really enjoyed this manga. I wished there was more released. I am interesting to know more about how the students will interact or possible change history and if the main character will continue to gain confidence in this era.

Synopsis:
During a school cruise trip, a group of friends are thrown back to the year 1636. According to history, in 1637 a revolt known as the Shimabara Revolt broke. It was a rebellion by Christian rebels and led by a charismatic youth known as Amakusa Shirou, which ended in the defeat of the rebels and resulted in the loss of 3,000 lives. Hayumi Natsuki, our heroine, is mistaken as Amakusa Shirou by the villagers she met, never mind that the real Amakusa Shirou is male. Apparently the real Amakusa Shirou died the year previously, before gaining recognition or popularity as a leader among the people. Before long, she became famous as some-sort of heaven-sent angel and people started calling her "Shirou," believing she is the savior prophesied 25 years before.

Amakusa 1637 goes back to 1637 and deals with the the students impacting history. Does not have as dark a tone as Gunjou Senki or Eden no Ori.

Synopsis:
After an airplane crash during a school trip, Oribe Mutsumi and her classmates were stranded on a seemingly deserted island. Mutsumi found the other survivors, and used her wilderness knowledge to help them. She expects that they will be rescued in about three days, which doesn't seem so long to endure. However, she didn't account for the fact that the island is populated with gigantic killer insects. Her knowledge of butterflies, wasps, and more may be the only thing that will help any of her classmates survive to be rescued!
